2024 New information about iPhone 17 Pro

Sources from Digitimes said that the iPhone 17 Pro will be the first iPhone to use a processor manufactured on TSMC's 2nm process.

Some sources even say that the iPhone 17 Pro will be the first smartphone equipped with this chip.

Earlier this year, Apple signed a contract for TSMC's entire 2nm manufacturing process during the initial period of operation. It is expected that this process will soon be applied to produce Apple Silicon chips for Mac computers in the future.

According to MacRumors, the iPhone 17 generation will be equipped with a screen with a Ceramic Shield outer glass layer, which is more anti-reflective and scratch-resistant than its predecessors.

This source revealed that the new Ceramic Shield glass has been handed over to the supply chain in China. However, it will not appear on the iPhone 16 product line expected to launch in September.

The two iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models are expected to become the first iPhones equipped with the Face ID facial recognition system under the screen. Meanwhile, the device's selfie camera will still be designed as a punch hole.

Sources from analyst Jeff Pu said that the iPhone 17 Pro series will be equipped with WiFi 7 and Bluetooth chips developed by the company itself. Previously, ET News also revealed that Apple is planning to design its own battery for the iPhone. It is expected that this technology will begin to be applied from the iPhone 17 generation.
