Microsoft has just released a Windows 11 update that includes the Copilot AI virtual assistant and adds many other notable features.

CNBC said most Windows computers are running the Windows 10 operating system, which launched in 2015 and will be supported until 2025.

However, Microsoft recently released the final Windows 11 update of 2023 with virtual assistant Copilot.

There are some similarities with OpenAI's ChatGPT, Microsoft's artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot called Copilot is also capable of creating text and "communicating" with users.

Copilot also helps users change settings on the computer, turn on or off certain applications, open documents on the computer or initiate Windows functions.

Copilot AI is now available for free on Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Edge and Bing web browsers.
